Met and chatted with the manager. She was so friendly and informative. The drinks and pastries were amazing and the little hand written quotes were so sweet. Make sure you go see the horse drawn carriage and buy a awesome shirt too!

We previously passed this coffee place and thought, what an interesting name. Today we were headed to SC and took the route past this coffee shop. My daughter researched their drinks and she said that it's in a funeral home. I, of course, said what? She told me again and I said that we definitely need to stop! There was a hearse near the coffee shop door. The place is small but unique. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got the Lavender Hibiscus Lemonade and the Samoa Cookie Latte with Caramel Drizzle and Samoa Cookie Crumble (cold). They were delicious and to die for! Looking forward to coming back!

My favorite coffee shop! I wish they weren't 2 hours away. 😪 The drinks are so delicious, and the Beard Bakes treats are a nice complement to the coffee. Their current Alice in Wonderland specials are top-notch. We tried the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts today and we couldn't have been more satisfied.

I’m always on the hunt for unique food and drink spots around Charlotte and beyond, so when I heard about a coffee shop located inside a funeral home in Concord, I knew I had to check it out. Yes, you read that right—Coffin House Coffee is the only one of its kind in the U.S., making it one of the most unusual finds I’ve come across. The curiosity alone was enough to get me in the car and on my way to see what this place was all about. Before my visit, I did a little homework on their drink menu, and I was immediately intrigued. Their offerings are not just inventive but are regularly updated with creative seasonal specials that sound too good to pass up. I’m seriously considering making a bingo card to work my way through the entire menu! On my first visit, I went for “The Coach” frappe, a drink that perfectly captures the nostalgic flavor of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Be warned, though—these drinks are sweet, but they’re also absolutely delightful and refreshing. I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Tawny, who is hands down one of the friendliest and most enthusiastic people I’ve met in the area. She’s incredibly passionate about Coffin House Coffee, ensuring that every customer leaves completely satisfied. I witnessed her dedication firsthand when she stayed late to serve a mother and daughter who showed up just after closing. That kind of customer service is rare these days, and it left a lasting impression. If you’re looking for a unique coffee experience with top-notch service, make your way to Coffin House Coffee. They’re open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM. You won’t want to miss it!

I love coffin house! It's unique, and the coffee is good. I love that they have a monthly theme, and that there is always a caffeine free option for my kiddos. The people are super sweet too. We just love this place.

Great coffee. Staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable and informative. The special coffees every month are amazing, I love the names of their traditional every day coffee names like gravel digger and spirit lifter.

Immediately when I walked in the employee was making coffee and saying hello to customers entering by their first names. This is top tier customer service. The place was so unique and smelled amazing. I got 3 treats which were each so yummy. And the. Iced chai latte and iced caramel coffees were amazing. Like greatly amazing. Would recommend and this is my new spot for sure!

Small spot on the side of a funeral home. They have a standard selection of drinks, and then a monthly specials section. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our drinks were both delicious. They have baked goods and quick on the go snacks. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
